Newbie needing help!!!

Hi some help here would be great (thicko here LOL)
At the moment I have 4 hard dives connected in my computer ( had a dvdwriter failure and a hard drive failure in the same day)

Ok so computer is at the moment
Hd1 system drive 20gb
HD2 40gb
HD3 80gb
HD4 120gb

What i would like to do is clone systemdisc (hd1) to HD2
Then take out hd1 rearrange ide cables and connect my replacement DVDWriter.

Can the clone bit be done with TI?
Running xp home sp2

Please help - i have read though posts put dont understand it much
e.g. make bootable cd etc

Yes you can do it.
Win xpsp2 won't allow you to have a second hdrive with xp on the active partition. so just don't let the computer reboot with hd1 and hd2 installed at the same time. This is not a problem with xpsp1
