new system drive installed trueiamge 9 not working

    i just cloned my c drive with trueimage 9 then in stalled the drive boot pc comes up with a ero message no NTLDR what is this. if i re start my pc and press f8 and pick out the new drive from a list of drives it then starts ok but i have to do this every time i boot up

    2 possibilities:

    1. Make sure your boot.ini is correct.
    2. use Mbrfix to fix the mbr on the new drive.

    Either boot from your Windows XP installation CD into the Windows Recovery Console and issue the command fixmbr or download the MBRautowrite file (CD ISO or self extracting boot floppy version) as detailed in the Acronis Support sticky titled <Please Read Before You Post>.

    You should take a look at BartPE which you boot your system into PE environment and then run mbrfix against your new hard drive.
