    Hi Guys,

A new OA is just easing through the last stages of Beta testing and I really need a few people to give the new version a test on Win98/ME. Any volunteers?

If you already have an OA licence, please let me know - if you don't, and you would like one in exchange for a bit of testing to verify that all is working well then please PM me.

Alternatively - should we just forget about 9x support in OA?

    Any comments welcome.

    Mike

    Hi Mike

If possible please dont stop the support for 98/Me . There are still a lot of people using those OS and they are severly limited when it comes to security apps that they can use.

    Hi HD Rider UK,

After my post I have had some volunteers for the win98 beta testing which seems to be going well so far.

The broader question of Win98 support is still open - on some systems with Win98 users report problems. Others don't miss a beat.

I want to support Win98 as long as possible. So, while we can still get beta testers to make sure all is well on the 98 platform I guess it will remain supported.

However, some of the newer stuff that is currently in the wings won't operate on Win98 and will not be backported because it's either impossible to do so, or just impractical. So at some stage OA will diverge into a separate win98 version.

I was very happy to see Online Armor supporting Win98 and
wish I'd known about it before upgrading my system.
Hopefully you'll keep supporting this old dinosaur as a
surprising amount of people are still using it though I
couldn't blame you if you did stop support - almost
    everyone else has ;)

    Hey Rip,

While it is practical to do so we'll keep the support in there. I don't see any need to suddenly discontinue support - at worst case we'd just stop developing new features for the 98 version

    cheers

    Mike
