"Facebook, Google, Twitter halt review of Hong Kong requests for data

Facebook, which also owns WhatsApp, said it would conduct a human rights review of the new national security law

"Hong Kong Security Law Sets Stage for Global Internet Fight...

Based on the law, the Hong Kong authorities have the remit to dictate the way people around the world talk about the city’s contested politics. A Facebook employee could potentially be arrested in Hong Kong if the company failed to hand over user data on someone based in the United States who Chinese authorities deemed a threat to national security...

If Facebook refuses to give national security data, its service may be terminated in Hong Kong, and it will lose access to the Hong Kong market..."

It's good to see some countries taking in Honk Kongers.
The Chinese government has gone mad threatening countries lately.

"VPN Providers [Private Internet Access and TunnelBear] Disable Servers in Hong Kong to Protect Users from China's Security Law

Private Internet Access and TunnelBear fear their VPN servers could be confiscated in the event Chinese authorities use the new law to seize them...

Hong Kong-based users will still be able to connect to both VPN services. In TunnelBear's case, the provider is scaling up its VPN operations in Singapore and Japan to offset the loss of the Hong Kong server....

Private Internet Access's VPN servers collect no logs on user activity. Nevertheless, Private Internet Access indicated it was taking a stand for digital privacy...TunnelBear also said it stores no users’ personal identifiable information over the servers...The only sensitive information stored over the machines are “configuration related keys,” which TunnelBear wants to protect..."
