Report: Android malware up 3,325% in 2011

Summary: Android malware samples had increased from 400 to 13,302 in six months.

You can real the full PDF at the end, which has some impressive statistics:

    Malware in 2010:
    Java ME: 70.3%
    Blackberry: 0.4%
    Windows Mobile: 1.4%
    Symbian: 27.4%
    Android: 0.5%

    Malware in 2011:
    Java ME: 41%
    Blackberry: 0.2%
    Windows Mobile: 0.7%
    Symbian: 11.5%
    Android: 46.7%

While both iOS and Windows Phone have escaped the malware scene, the PDF does note that both of these can be attacked via discovered vulnerabilities.

There's been a "Mobile Malware On The Rise" every month for the past year.

I'll read this later though - thanks.
