    Hi,
    Since I have upgraded to ESET Cyber Security Macintosh v5.0.106.0, my MacBook Pro starts to over heat and the cooling fans kick on to full. This last for a couple of minutes
    Only occurs during a routine automatic scan that the software does on its own. Any ideas of the cause?

    INFO:
    MacBook Pro
    15-inch, Late 2011
    Processor = 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory = 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
    Software = OS X 10.8.2 (12C60)

    Unless the machine is shutting off, it's not overheating.
    When the fan kicks on full, the CPU is under load, and that's normal of any laptop.

    When the scan runs it is using the CPU at 50% or more. Normal of most any AV product.
