  1. After 8 years of being in the IT profession, and having successfully avoided all virus attacks and having no spyware problems, I have finally succumbed...

I downloaded a "Free App." (Against my own policy) for creating AVI files... The results... some form of adware...

I'm getting a "Web Search" type menu on right of the desktop with titles like "Gambling", "Dating", "Pharmacy", "XXX", "Spyware", and “Insurance". The program has an "Exit" button that seems to work... at least the menu disapeers from off the desktop.

Task manager is reporting TMServer.exe using most of the CPU.

I have loaded Spybot S&D, Lavasoft Adawere and Hijack this. The Microsoft anti-spyware is also loaded - (I don't know why, seems to have been a waste of time)

    NAV is reporting Trojan.addclicker...

Nothing I have tried so far has been able to remove the problem, and I am new to this kind of trouble.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
