Performance-focused LibreOffice 6.4 is available for download https://blog.documentfoundation.org/blog/2020/01/29/libreoffice-6-4/ Spoiler: In addition, the new version provides some interesting new features [1]: GENERAL Application icons have been added to document thumbnails inside the Start Center, making it easier to recognise the different types of documents. A QR Code generator has been added to the suite, making it easy to add QR codes – that can be read by mobile devices – to documents. Hyperlink context menus have been unified throughout the suite, and now provide the following menu entries: Open Hyperlink, Edit Hyperlink, Copy Hyperlink Location and Remove Hyperlink. The new Automatic Redaction feature lets your hide classified or sensitive data in a document based on text or regular expression matches. The help system provides faster and more precise search results, while many help pages have localized screenshots for a better user experience. WRITER A Table panel has been added to the Sidebar. Comments can now be marked as resolved. In addition, it’s now possible to add comments to images and charts inside text documents. Cutting, copying and pasting of tables has been improved, with a new Paste Special menu option “Paste as Nested Table”. CALC Spreadsheets can be exported into a single PDF page, to get an overview of all content without it being spread over multiple pages. IMPRESS & DRAW In the Shape menu, a new option called Consolidate Text combines multiple selected text boxes into a single one. This is useful if you’re importing a PDF and the text content is split across many boxes. LIBREOFFICE ONLINE In Writer, table properties can be easily modified from the sidebar, and the document Table of Contents can be fully managed by users. In Calc, the Function Wizard is now offering full features, and a wide range of options for selected charts has been added to the spreadsheet sidebar.

January 2019, we were talking about LibreOffice spell checker and installing LibreOffice spell checker or language pack on Linux. https://askubuntu.com/questions/915834/spell-checker-not-working-in-libre-office-5-2/1032612#1032612 January 2020, I migrated my two Windows 7 systems to Kubuntu. As I chose for American English for system language, the LibreOffice Dutch spell checker option was missing, and also was the LibreOffice Dutch system interface option. I tried sudo apt install libreoffice-langpack-nl, but that didn't work on my Kubuntu installations. And I couldn't find Pararto's/Daveski17's Ubuntu option in Kubuntu. I used Iangh's option, sudo apt install hunspell-nl for adding Dutch spell checker to LibreOffice, that worked perfectly. I didn't find an option to install the LibreOffice Dutch system interface, but I don't need that anyway, the LibreOffice English system interface is great for me. Thanks very much, everyone!

I found something today that's very useful. Perhaps other Libre Office users will do so as well. So, I ll post it here. When earlier today I opened a Word document using Libre, I was hit with the Donations banner. Is pretty annoying, I remember seeing it a few moths ago, and before and before. I have all ad and banner option unticked, set to Off in Options. So, I coldnt understand what was going on, why I got the banner. It took a 10 seconds search to find out why I was getting the banner and how to get rid of it for good, (supposedly, forever). It seems that the banner is supposed to hit us every 6 months, it runs in a cycle and no matter what, if you are using Libre, you ll get it. Even if you make a donation, you still get hit with it. At the end of this link, in the comment at the end, you ll find the solution. https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/175907/get-involved-nag-line/ Bo
