    Hey guys;

    I need help. I just bought a DVD-RW {its LG dvd-burner). I have few personal movies on my computer. I was wondering how can I make dvd. I know how to make a vcd using nero, but don't know how to make actual dvd's. Which kind of files do the movies have to be in order to burn to dvd? Can they be avi files? Or Do I have to convert them somehow. If so, how can I covert them, which program should I use. Some of these movies are from my vhs tapes (like party videos and so forth).

    I want to play them in my dvd player.

    thanks guys..

    Have you used (Digital)Nero Recode? Instead of the burning Rom component, T

    Nero already has the ability to burn any non-copyrighted movie to a dvd. But you need to have a version of Nero that has the dvd burning plug-in. If you don't have the Nero dvd burning plug-in, you won't be able to burn to a dvd. That is often the case when you buy a dvd burner and it comes with the Nero OEM version. I know of someone who bought a dvd burner it came with Nero 6 OEM version and it lacked the dvd plug-in and they had to buy a seperate dvd burner program. Some dvd makers are very cheap these days, so make sure you have the Nero dvd plug-in. Try to open Nero and on the main window choose 'Favorites' then just select 'Copy DVD'. It's very easy to copy/burn a dvd with Nero. Anymore questions about using Nero, just ask.
