I've just installed it and it reads stealth at grc.com. I know it's a one way firewall, but how does it stack up in protection compared to ZA, Sygate, and some of the others, or is it even possible to compare firewalls that way?

I know people say Windows firewall isn't all that great. Is ghostwall a lightweight firewall along Windows lines, or is it more heavy duty? Do any of these questions even make any sense?

Last I heard, Ghostwall was a very purist firewall (it controls what programs can use what ports, etc). Against viruses and trojan horses, which often use code injection or other advanced techniques, Ghostwall will fail you (but if you install a HIPS to go along with Ghostwall will be fine). If you do not want to install a seperate HIPS program than Zone Alarm is a good free firewall to use. I would also reccomend Core Force and Jetico though.

USA still the best. But barely.
I really like GW. But it's only a part of what I'm running. You know AV, AS etc. Been using GW about 2 months. See no reason to change.:D
