With version 2.7, I could, using the context menu, right click on any individual file
that was saved for example, on my desktop, and then scan it for any virus.
I am no longer able to do it with version 3.0.667 to which I had upgraded
    recently. Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello!

Are you sure that if you right click a file/folder , there is no option like this :

    cmscan.png

If so , open the user interface of NOD32 , press F5 to open the Advanced Setup Tree , naviagate to User interface -> Context menu and enable the option . Press OK and reboot . If this doesn't help , reinstall the program following these instructions:

    1. Download fresh new version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus 3.0 from
http://www.eset.com/download . Make sure that you choose the correct version.

    2. Uninstall your current version from Control Panel
    3. Reboot the computer when prompted
    4. Delete manually these folders:

    for XP:
    - C:\Documents and Settings\All users\Application data\Eset
    - C:\Documents and Settings\~username~\Local Settings\Application data\Eset

    for Vista:
    - C:\Program data\Eset
    - C:\Users\~username~\AppData\Local\Eset
    - C:\Users\~username~\AppData\Roaming\Eset

    5. Reinstall your ESET software using the file you downloaded in step1 . Use typical install.

Many thanks for your reply HiTech_boy!

Your solution (enabling the 'context menu' from the User Interface) did the trick. :D

Obviously, I didn't do any tweakings to the settings after upgrading to this
version of Nod32. Are there any instructions available here on this forum or else where to do so?

Thanks ever so much for your help. I truly appreciate it.
    Best regards

    Jay

You'd better open the Advanced setup tree and press the Default butoon . Then choose "Revert all setings to default" , which will revert all settings to default .:D The default settings are ok for the majority of users
