Having some trouble with SG and BHB

Hi,
I have two problems:

1. I have SpywareGuard 2.1 installed, but every time I boot up, SG leaves the protection option, "Download Protection" becomes UNchecked. I have to go in and manually check it. I have press "Save Settings" after I have done this, but SG forgets every time.....

2. I tried to uninstall Browser Hijack Blaster, but after double clicking unins000.exe in C:\Program Files\Browser Hijack Blaster , it gives me the following error message:
C:\Program Files\Browser Hijack Blaster\unins000.dat does not exist....uninstallation cannot complete.

Now that is a very interesting issue. What version of Windows do you have? And do you have a full/administrator account? (Plus, what version of Internet Explorer do you have installed? It sounds like the Download Protection is not working correctly.)

You can probably just delete the contents of your Browser Hijack Blaster folder, if it still exists - that should remove all components of BHB if the uninstallation does not work.

I have Windows XP Home with full admin permissions.

I have IE 6.2800.1106.xpsp1.020828-1920, 128 Bit Cipher Strength Encryption, and all WindowsUpdates installed.

I just rebooted today and apparently the download protection setting is intact....I am just wondering what exactly happened to cause this probably before....

Well, I've determined now that this problems happens about half of the time on boot-up. I'm suspecting that this might be a AV or AT Conflict?
