I received this statement from THQ tech support regarding playing online with the PC game MX vs ATV Reflex...

    "NOD32 Virus Checker users
    - NOD32 scans the network activity of the programs on your machine. You need to configure NOD32 to exclude MX vs ATV Reflex from scans as it will drastically degrade online performance. In the IMON setup, under the Miscellaneous tab, press the edit button within the Exclusion box/zone. Press the Add button in the Exclude Application dialog and find the MXReflex.exe on your hard drive to add it to the exclusion list."

I am using Smart Security 5.0.95.0 so does this warning about NOD32 apply specifically to me?

If so, how do I make an exception for a specific application in the firewall settings? Heck, even if it doesn't directly apply maybe I should add an exception anyway since I do have lag issues with this particular game while online. I don't have these issues with any other games.

I found an area to add an application as an exception, but it pops up a predefined list of apps and won't let me browse for anything that is not on that list.

Thank you for any help provided.

    Hello,

The IMON (Internet Monitor) module was a part of NOD32 v2.7.

Are you experiencing a conflict between THQ's MX vs ATV Reflex and ESET Smart Security v5, or was this more of a general question?

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky

I feel that my game is laggy and hard to control at times. I would like to set an exception as I noted in the original post according to what the THQ tech support had to say.

How can I make ESET ignore this particular game? I don't have issues with any other games, so I am wondering if ESET is the problem.

Does disabling HTTP filtering in the setup (F5) actually make the problem go away?

I am not sure what setting area you are referencing here. Sorry, but I am new to v5 of Smart Security.

I just added the game's exe to the Web & Email/Protocol Filtering/Excluded Applications list. I'm not sure how this may help (I haven't tested it yet).

Is this what you are talking about?

If not, how can I perform the suggested fix via my original post that includes the THQ tech support info regarding the game and NOD32 conflict?
