Ouch! New versions of flash are getting released too fast for my usually available patience to manually uninstall and install them. I think at this point I have no practical choise other than to turn on the flash auto update feature.

Recently the installers increased to around 9MB because they contained both the 32 and 64 bit versions, the new installers are increased to 15MB however, any idea?

I have enabled the auto update but it takes far too long to update, it can take several days sometimes. So I will continue to update manually in order to have the latest security fixes ASAP.

I hope this release is better than last. In Chrome, Flash content really screws up a lot of pages. In Firefox it sometimes feels like I'm trying to view modern Flash content on 15 year old system

Is there any need to uninstall previous version before installing the new one?
Isn't sufficient to install it "over"?

In the past, installing a new version of Flash over the old version would leave potentially vulnerable left-overs from the old version. Nowadays, I think Adobe managed to improve the process.

    Hoi BoerenkoolMetWorst,

You might like to read the discussion at DSLR/BBR :
    http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r27698570-Adobe-Flash-Player-11.5.502.110
It is discussed there in relation to the DRM stuff and the new files activex.vch and plugin.vch.

    PS: I haven't yet updated.

I installed Flash player 11.5.502.110 (both active x and plugin) yesterday, but now a video my daughter posted on her Facebook page won't play in Firefox. I uninstalled Flash player plugin and reinstalled the previous version and now the video of my granddaughter plays. Why does it work with 11.4.402.287, but not with the latest version. I could play the video with 11.5.592.110 installed in IE.

Glad I only use Chrome and don't have to worry about updating Flash or using Adobe.
