Downloaded all 23.9 Megabytes and installed. It comes with the Backweb automatic updater, that's why so big. It's an option to install or not if you do a custom install.
I immediately let it update, and it downloaded another 5+ megs so the whole process takes a while if you're on 56K like I am.
So far - Great! Even though it has KAV 4.0 it has not slowed down opening files or surfing like the KAV 4.0 stand alone version does to me.
I haven't run a manual scan yet, but I did scan my virus library and it catches all of them. Last version of F-Secure I had for some strange reason would not catch Tron.zip as a backdoor. This version does.
I will let everybody know if I have any issues with it. :)

so basically f-secure 5.4 is now much better than KAV's seperate 4.0 personal pro software, since there is ORION and F-Prot as well?

In theory, yes. However, in the past, F-Secure has uderperformed KAV at Virus Bulletin badly.
I have never understood that. We will have to see what the future tests show now.
No matter how hard you try FPM, there is no way to be 100% sure you are getting the best product available for you at the time.
Try to make an informed decision, and jump in. The choices you are looking at are all good.
