https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=339589 is it appears not an isolated incident. Their support is going down the pan. Very disappointing as I have been recommending WSA to everyone AND saying that in case WSA cannot clear up a virus they will help you. Think that should be they will fob you off?

One post 10 months ago isn't exactly an epidemic. File infectors require manual assistance to clean, and the use of specialized tools that we have provided. If you write into our support inbox or call us, we have a large team of support agents available to help.

    Question:
Volvic, are you here to contribute constructively or just nitpick the product?

Anyway not much works well against file infectors. Anything that doesn't block a file infector straight-away is pretty much screwed.

You're beginning to sound like Apple fanbois.

FWIW, WSA support is rubbish, that is my experience.

To say that in 2 years it has only let 1 virus through which happens to be fatal is ridiculous.

No wonder they keep getting panned in the reviews.

So basically you ammo is: If the other users do not share my opinion, i declare them fan boys.... o_O

Whether you're just troll trying to stir the pot or you're an angry guy having a real bad week hammering it out on the keybord i do not know, but you're on quite a roll with your posts in various sections if you're going for the gold medal in silly posts.

What you're saying makes little sense for users having read this part of the forum on a regular basis. FWIW: From reading this forum over several years now and also IME support is great in general.

IMO Webroot support is the best I have ever used with any Windows program & that's since Win 3.0 - The only ammo volvic had was that of another user that is happy with support

If I want to be really critical of WSA I must say the green icon does clash a little with the green Spotify icon :argh: But I'm just going to have to live with it.

(BTW no one if forcing you to use WSA if you don't like it there are many others)

In all honesty, you're getting tiresome. Why all the new threads?

If anything, WSA support is the best among AV's.

Is a totally different story about WSA itself.... and if you start to criticize it , the 10-15 followers will jump accusing you of hidden agenda...

TH, it never ceases to amaze me how shallow some folks can be, especially when Wilders is known for the knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, gracious and amiable people who frequent the forum.

Well, if one goes by the concept of Standard Deviation there will be 5% on the periphery...unfortunately they seem to congregate on the same threads...I wonder why...:argh:

PS: I am only here cause I am looking for another 'fanboy' label...:D

I've been trying to figure out how to classify myself: I use Mac hardware with OSX removed and Windows installed natively, have an Android phone, and a Surface RT tablet for working on cramped flights :D I think I'm just a fan of technology

Mac Laptops maybe, but desktops make me sad. I should have built a PC for you. *ahh well* And Surface RT? I got a Surface Pro because it is much better. Webroot should pay you more.

Did you get the laser keyboard too? I like mine. Works well with the Surface and with the Android tablet. ^.^

I see it looks like Claudiu is back under yet another name. Obviously has nothing better to do than to troll WSA threads. Some will never get it.As this thread has veered yet again off topic,it should be closed.

Mac laptop in my case. I got a Surface RT to try to get WSA to work on it (result: Microsoft prevents it, so unfortunately no). I use the "type keyboard" which has a good feel to it but I didn't realize that the laser keyboards actually worked... may need to look into one of those, to help clear up some desk space!

Whilst Support is generally good, it's worth bearing in mind there are different personnel looking at the ticketing system. Some respond quicker than others, and some may not be familiar with all the user's "history".

    As examples:
I communicated, regarding a line in scan log, at 12.52pm on 20th; reply came at 16.54 on 21st.

A communication from Webroot on 18th, about putting in work order for deletion of online account, advised they'll let me know when task completed; they didn't, but I've found it has been done.

Some replies look as though they're scripted without taking into account we actually know what to do - "Should you have additional questions, please send us a reply in the "Send another message" section of this page".

I prefer not to resort to having to contact support, but if I have to, I will. (Four to's in one sentence: too much?) ;)

It leads me to recalling a song by Rickie Jones - "The Last Chance Texaco" :D

There's already something wrong if somebody bashes AV support based on one incident of a satisfied long-time user in the entire forum, and demands 100% protection (read AV-Comparatives, AV-TEST, security news, etc.)

no offense but if any pc gets infected by file infectors i dont think any av can fully remove and fix the system with a simple scan none that i have seen anyway.

Just to let you know, I'm not a fanboy. I'm paid by Webroot to preach and advocate for the products. I blindly must support Webroot or I wouldn't get paid. I try to convince members here to buy WSA so I'll get my commission.

Happy now? Is that what you wanted to hear?.....Going around bashing people who like WSA and their support.:cautious: .....Must remember people who liked and loved PrevX have mainly flocked to WSA. Joe and the whole team of PrevX is here with Webroot. WSA is PrevX only better with more resources. Enough for people to at least try out WSA. Nothing about fanbois.
