I'm testing out NOD32 v3 on some terminal servers/citrix servers. I like real-time scanning, it works perfectly, but I'd like to prevent users from launching the NOD32 interface all together. If that's not possible, I'd at least like to make it so they can't run on-demand scans. Is this possible?

I have the remote administrator, but I'm not seeing where I can disable or hide the on-demand scaner..

    thanks!

    Hello,

I believe if you contact your sales engineer they can provide you with steps to do this.

I used a small freeware utility to disable the NOD32 Context Menu.
    ShellExView v1.23 from http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html

It requires no installation and is very straight forward

    EDIT: I just noticed that this is a NOD32 v3 question - sorry. I'm running on NOD32 v2.70 so I don't know if it works on NOD32 v3.

This and removing the egui.exe entry from the local machine startup registry key (add it to the local admin's registry or your start up folder) will help keep them out and prevent them from initiating scans. That and I found that having 80 running instances of egui.exe taking up 200mb of memory is a bit of a waste in a terminal server environment.
