After reading and re-reading the description and features of Digitial Patrol on/at the vendors website (http://www.proantivirus.com/en/), I can't figure out if Digital Patrol is an anti-virus, anti-trojan, or anti-spyware product or D) all of the above.

If anyone has experience with this product, can you please let us know what it really is....

    Thanks in advance.

It's emphasising itself as a trojan program the most. So I'd go with that :p

Since they speak of Anti-Trojan Digital Patrol — powerful anti trojan protection on their Digital Patrol Features page, we'll go with that.

I ran Digital Patrol Scanner, because I never ran it. Seems to be a trial of 90 days. Price = $20
Very simple scanner without any other features, than updating and a few settings.

It said i have hacktool and i need to pay to remove it. It stopped scanning at ccleaner also bad english in the gui. Check out their site they seem confused, here they call it anti trojan then anti malware then anti virus.

LOL. It seems to have an identity crisis. 90 days without removal. Pffft. :D
By lack of new ideas, they seem to keep on creating one scanner after another, everybody seems to want his own scanner.

    Hi

I haven't tried it, but I think it seems pretty random. It is only shareware, detection rate is unknown, not very popular, seems like a very basic program.

I wouldn't use it if i were you.

This is a pretty old anti-virus or anti-trojan. I tested it several times in some av comparatives, lower end area, nothing special, I mean there is always something worse...
