How will this affect individuals, like myself, who are paying for both OpenDNS and Umbrella services? Are they going to continue to be provided under some sort of Cisco label or are they going to be rolled into one of Cisco's existing offerings, which will likely mean that the cost for these services will increase?

Anyone have further details on this?

If this actually happens I'm done with OpenDNS. It isn't some small startup, it's managing just fine on it's own, stronger than ever. Selling out at this point is just pure greed.

  5. Terrible news. OPENDNS was a good solid company. I do use some services. I will be changing vendors if this goes ahead.

CISCO has terrible security. NSA has persisant back doors on all CISCO network kit. Now OPENDNS will suffer the same fate :(

Yep, OpenDNS should say "thanks, but no thanks" to Cisco!
