    Hello,
im looking for some simple cd/dvd direct copy software.
freeware and uninstalls cleanly is the creteria.

i sometimes use ashampoo but havent installed it since i changed to 64bit vista.

Look no further than ImgBurn, small yet highly configurable, no issues, fast and cleanly uninstalls.

    Hi Lodore,

Ugh! I used to use Roxio dumped it. Now I'm using 'Image Burn' small, simple & gets the job done.

The one integrated in Windows XP and Vista . Simply drag what you need to be copied in the CD drive section and press a button/link . No need to install or even what Microsoft have already integrated.

if i stuck in a music cd would i be able to do a copy of that? or would it create a data cd instead?

my main needs for disc burning is eiether direct copy of a disc or burning an .iso file to a disc.

on another note:im hoping windows 7 will the ability to mount and burn .iso files to disc on its own.

    I use CDBurnerXP Pro: http://cdburnerxp.se/

Have used it for years and never any issues. And the price is right.... :)

As mentioned above, needs .NET 2.0 or higher for v4.xx, however, the older 3.xx versions don't.

Starburn holds lots of promise but its early version 1.0 now, I would wait for it to mature a bit more.

Nothing wrong with ashampoo on 64bit windows, it works fine. Burning Studio 6 is available for free from their website if you didn't know.

I've used CDRTFE (CDRTools Frontend) for a long time. It has done everything I have asked it to do, including data discs, audio, making and burning images, creating video DVDs, and VCD/SVCD. I am very happy with it. It's free too!!!
