Dudes! Check this little jewell i just found while browsing for a decent and animated desktop weather app. I am simple amazed at the moving graphics of the weather, clouds, etc. Hope you might find it useful too and it's served at Softpedia

A weather forecast desktop widget application for Windows

Odd, you might try downloading again. My first download was also a dud, but the second one finally worked! Maybe some server glitch.

Ive always liked yowindow for weather animation,as it allows you to put your own pic in ,and has excellent animation in realtime.

No animated satellite image on either app, I need to know whats coming in real (or close to real) time,,,,not what is. For what is I can look out the window.

The free version of yowindow shows weather for 3 days ahead..the paid version 9 ,though there is no animated satellite image. For real time 24 hour forecast in yo window ,just move the the little green ball on the time bar.

Weather Pulse, a program I've used in the past, quit working Oct. 31st,according to their website.

Don't blame ya. It's eye candy to be sure but i also used WeatherPulse ever since Windows 98 and was sorry to see it discontinued. Still combing around for something unique, accurate, and most of all safe. I'll have to give yowindow a run and see how it is.

    Thanks for the mention.

    Regards EASTER

MY wife does outdoor shows during the summer so its important for us to see whats happening in the vicinity of where she is. Satellite is the way to go for this as you can get an idea of whats going to hit and whats going to (hopefully miss). Forecasts just don't do the trick, they are too general. We found a few pretty good apps for use on her android smart phone but I am looking for something really good in this respect for my PC.

That's OK because the forecast get's less accurate after 3-4 days anyway.
BTW where do they get the weather data from?

Though personally I use www.Meteoblue.com Map section http://www.meteoblue.com/en_GB/weather/map
    (plus 20 other weather sites :p ) And a weather app called WeatherPro - www.weatherpro.eu .
