Well, I'm spreading the word just a bit - it is mentioned in his forum. He's having fits with his provider, which doesn't help matters any. Pete

There are other settings as well which might prevent windows update.
One of those is the blocking of user agent with programs such as naviscope.

Quite true, Mickey, but here I'm referring only to the problem that gets fixed when you update the SPYBLOCK.exe to the latest version.

One entry gets dropped from the SB hosts file - it can be done manually, too, if for some reason you can't get the update.

Just go into the "Setup" screen from the main SB interface, click on "Find" and then put in a248.e.akamai.net . When it finds it, put a checkmark in front of it by clicking in it and then click on "Unblock Checked" .

Clear your browser cache, close and re-open the browser and you should be good to go. Pete

If anyone inadvertantly received v7.0 (after deleting v6.4 w/o a back-up of the install program for 6.4), you will be able to re-d/l v6.4 as soon as the SB site is able to upload a copy of it (they're still suffering server problems - http://www.hypermart.net/info/systemnotice.bml?id=419 ).

Reference this thread there: http://spyblocker-software.com/IPB/index.php?showtopic=415 . Pete
