I've recently installed Comodo firewall, but AOL can't 'see' it. On the startup screen it says: "Firewall not detected".
Can I 'educate' AOL to acknowledge my new firewall?
    Guitarelf. :)

AOL is stupid, I have it too. It doesn't recognise NOD32 either or a whole host of other security products. It's a completely pointless utility if it can't recognise loads of security software.

AOL UK has been taken over by Car phone warehouse, hopefully improvements will follow.

If your using XP the main thing is Windows security centre recognising your security software, forget about AOL's blindness.

Guys, there must be better providers in the UK other than AOL. There's not a person that I know that runs it (against my advice :gack:) that doesn't have issues of some kind. I'll go out on a limb and say that the only applications that you can be sure are completely compatible are the ones that AOL have partnered with.

I have had no issues with AOL for around a year now. It doesn't recognise my AV or firewall but that's no big deal to me.
They have no fair usage policy which I like, everyone else seems to have this.
AOL has also been taken over by car phone warehouse so there may be some changes ahead.

Appreciate the replies. So basically I should just ignore AOL's ineptitude...right?
An afterthought...CarPhoneWarehouse have had much adverse publicity recently regarding their 'free broadband' offer, so whether we'll see any improvement with AOL G-d only knows!!;)
