AMON and browser load

Hi folks , I've been a registered nod user for a few months now and I really enjoy the sense of security it provides.
I've never had a problem with it until the last time I reformated my HD and reinstalled it. With AMON running I click on Internet explorer and it takes around 8 seconds to load ,
when I shut down AMON it loads instantly.
No problems on line , just when loading.
I know 8 seconds isn't a big deal but I never had the delay before , and it is annoying . Wondering if anyone else experienced the same or a similar problem
I'm running Win XP Pro
1.8 P4
512 Ram
40 Gig HD
I'm still new to this stuff so please forgive me if it's a stupid question.

Thanks Jan , Removing xp update Q811493 worked great .
I didn't notice that thread but I was in a hurry , on my way back to work .
By the way it wasn't only my browser that was slow to load it was just about everything .
