again a new test

    To my knowledge, this test was done by Sophos itself, using 20 samples... I think that says everything people need to know about this test. o_O

    is Sophos has good heuristic ? anyone tried it ?

    this forum is biased!
    if (big IF) 'only' Russian malware was used in this russian test, im happy that drweb found more than kaspersky, this way... i can judge it. :)

    it is strange though that drweb always scores highly with this test, yet fails the marx and clementi tests.

    An idea: Dr.Web is known for its prompt response to customer-submitted malware, so it scores high on Russian malware (where Dr.Web has the largest user base)
    Or the folks at Dr.Web don't have the time/resources/interest to analyze the huge malware collections of AV-C and AV-Test. And they might be partially right, since most of today's malware is short-lived (hours, even minutes) and updated quickly to evade signature/heuristic detection.

    I wish someone from Dr.Web would release an official response or so to clarify their policy regarding these tests and analyzing of the missed samples.
