I just submitted this bug report to their site:

As stated in your uninstall survey, I had both this pro version and the free version installed at the same time because I wasn't sure the pro version encrypted keystrokes. I ran your keylogger test and the pro version caught it and I blocked it. I ran the screenlogger test and the pro version did not catch it. So the pro version failed its own test and screen logging went on unabated. I thought when I uninstalled the free version the screen logging stopped, because it did stop only because your test is hung now and I'll have to do a forced stop on it through the task manager. Once I did a forced End Task, and restarted your ScreenLogger test, it is failing again! It's logging in real time and key strokes are plainly visible when enlarged! I'm going to upload the screen shot and still have a copy of the free version .exe file if you want it for analysis. I will also be posting this to wilders security forum for their thoughts.

It seems unlikely that having two versions installed at the same time is a supported configuration.

You wasn't sure, why? So, basically, you installed two times the same keystroke encryption app and something went wrong. What did you expect?

I am somewhat surprised that Zemana allowed this. One installation should have blocked the other from installing.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough. After uninstalling the free version, the screen logger still fails its own test. After uninstalling the licensed version and reinstalling it, it still fails its own screenlogger test.

So calling me stupid kind of misses the point so I won't even try to explain how both versions landed on the system. It's irrelevant even if screen logging and key logging were the same thing.

One more thing of note, the license came from the thread here about the free paid version for a year.

    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=351537

And the installed version says it is a commercial type. Could that be it? I haven't heard from Zemana yet and I sent them the screenshot with screen logging in progress and no alert from Zemana while doing their own test.

You haven't stated if you are using a 32 or 64 bit version of windows.
This from the Zemana website support may enlighten if you are using x64

Thank you, Dark Star, and you are 100% correct in that the "64" wasn't clear enough and that is the problem. Wish now I had licensed one of my 32bit machines instead.

    Good catch.

Those of you suggesting that entering a license key into a software some how makes it incompatible with itself is ignorant.

Zemana has failed tons of tests compared to the Spyshelter counter part.

From a July 27 email I received from Zemana tech support in response to an inquiry regarding the July 24 release of the still current AntiLogger 1.9.3.500:

The encrypting function of AntiLogger is active on only Windows 8 64 bit. However, this function on AntiLogger Free is active on all OS's. The encrypting function of AntiLogger will be active on all OS's very soon. For now, we suggest our customers who use another OS except Wİndows 8 64 bit to use both of AntiLogger and AntiLogger Free at the same time.

    So...
Windows 8x64: AntiLogger or just AntiLogger Free
Windows Others: AntiLogger & AntiLogger Free or just AntiLogger or just AntiLogger Free

Hmmm. Information from the developer's FAQ is a "good catch." Another between-the-keyboard-and-the-chair dilemma solved here at Wilders!!

    Anyhow...

No keyboard encryption yet for non-Win8x64 in today's AntiLogger 1.9.3.502 update.

    Worthy improvements nonetheless:
•Fixed an issue related to IntelliGuard on Windows 8 64-bit systems
•Improved SSL protection on Windows 64-bit systems
    •Spanish language file updated
    •Several minor improvements

Just a question about Zemana Antilogger and Window 8 X64. I didn't have any Windows Updates when September 10 Bulletins were released - on my desktop with X64 (which had Zemana Antilogger installed). Laptop with X64 and no Zemana Antilogger showed Windows Updates, which installed ok. Today, when an update to Zemana Antilogger was processed on my desktop, suddenly, I had six Windows Updates for download. Could Zemana Antilogger have prevented any Windows Updates from being downloaded and installed on September 10? I couldn't find any other reason - and since after ZA update, Windows Updates appeared, I feel this may be the reason. I uninstalled ZA and everything seems to be working well now with Windows Update and my desktop. Just curious....thanks.

I tried Zemana Free on Win 7 64bit and guess what: The tray icon was green (protected) but it didn't protect anything. Spyshelter test tool was able to get all entered characters. :( There is still something wrong this application ...

Are any of you having trouble with zemana not protecting against certain things using webroot secure anywhere at the same time? If so that's the issue. Antilogger blocks what webroot doesn't but webroot will be first defense when both installed. If not report it to zemana as they have great support and are really interested in having the best antilogger software available. If you don't get response back please pm me and I will try to get you an answer. By the way I do not work for zemana.

    Thanks,

    Chris

I would suggest that there is something wrong with your testing methology - see my screen shot attached. I did this with all my other security uninstalled or completely shut down so that Zemana Antilogger free was the only security app running. I did this on a Win 7 64 bit system.

You need to have an https browser window open like the PayPal log in window I used and enter your (false!) credentials into it after starting the AntiTest keylogging window.

Does it only protect https? I thought it would protect other applications as well. :doubt: Why is the tray icon green on http as well? Hm, strange.

No, it protects all key strokes. See the two screen shots attached - one from notepad and the other filling in the log in for Wilders (with a false password ;) )
If I simply open the SpyShelter AntiTest keylogging window and click start test with no windows open and type on the keyboard it still scrambles the recorded keystrokes.
I wonder if you have any other security apps installed that are interfering with AntiLogger free?

I have never had Zemana prevent any type of keylogging free or paid. Ive done numerous comparisons between the 2. Even 2 years ago when everyone bragged about Zemana I did testing that proved Zemana was worthless then. Looks like everyone is finally catching on.

Then what exactly do my three screenshots show:cautious:
You have only proved that you cannot test properly

Its highly likely that your single test showing it worked against mine and numerous other peoples tests were all done incorrectly and done incorrectly for years.

Whats even more likely is my tests consisted of substance. Not just a random notepad document. I used legitimate commercial keyloggers against Zemana and Spyshelter's paid software and Zemana still failed miserably with a 0% detection rate.

I used legitimate commercial keyloggers in my own testing, which showed that Zemana was effective, but somewhat less so than Spyshelter. Zemana has been tested on many websites which have shown it to be effective also. You seem to be the only person reporting a 0% success rate.......

I used the 64 bit counterpart in my testing for both companies. Not sure what you or the previous poster were using. At one point Zemana was claiming 64 bit compatibility with their 64 bit software and none of their DLL or hooks worked on 64 bit platforms. They straight up lied through their teeth in their marketing.

I think most frequent Wilders visitors are probably aware of Zemana's exaggerated claims (and I use that term generoursly) with respect to the application's 64bit capabilities. However, protection against banking malware and the hooks which they place has always been strong on both 32bit and 64bit.

So....historically weak protection against 64bit commercial keyloggers - yes, I'd agree some weaknesses, but (from memory) I think those have largely been addressed. But for banking malware...always been strong.

I tried it on another computer (win7 32 bit) and it's working but I can't get it working on the computer with win7 64 bit. It's really weird.

Have you ever tested it on win7 32 bit as well? :doubt:

Not to mention the real-time VirusTotal-enabled IntelliGuard Cloud protection. OK... I mentioned it.

The keyboard encrypting Anti-Logger Free can be run concurrently with Anti-Logger. For a moderate fee I can PM the email text I have from Zemana support confirming that.

It's been a long time coming but eventually that encryption in Free will be integrated into Anti-Logger "Pro" for Win7 users. They did it already for Win8 a while back in March with version 1.9.3.444.
