I screwed up. I lost my information on the windows xp products that The IDBlaster logged. I had the randomized numbers but i can't restore the individual orgininal numbers. Now of course I can't update my windows xp because it does not recognize me as the administrator. Is there any way to back to square one (as in prior to unstalling IDBlaster)?

Also are the ID for all of the Windows products the same as the Win XP product ID?? (Since I don't have the original #'s I can't check)

Not being able to update Windows XP because it doesn't recognize you as the administrator does not sound like a problem that could be caused by ID-Blaster. The only potential issue would be problems accessing Windows Update (i.e. where it would say your version of Windows is not activated, etc.) but certainly not an administrator-related message (this Windows Update related error has not even been seen yet - I just write about it as a precaution).

Going back to square one, as you put it, would unfortunately require you having recorded the unrandomized ID numbers. :doubt:

    Best regards,
