Saw a Topic by Primrose and Crockett (Regards to you both) whilst nosing about Forums (Sept 2002) with regard to Win98Lite.

Sounds wonderful, is it still a goer and is anyone using it please.

Still going strong as far as I know.
I'm looking forward to Shane finishing Win2K Lite. When he does, bye, bye, IE!
I highly suggest, if you want to try it, that you image your current C: drive to CDs or to another partition.
Then you can format and install 98Lite fresh. You will of course have to reinstall all your programs, and make sure you have everything backed up like Programs, PWs, cookies, bookmarks, email, contacts, keys, serials, etc. on CDs or another partition. It's a major overhaul and you have to be very careful not to loose anything.
You can do it the easy way and not go that route, but it's not as clean.
Hey everybody needs a litttle adrenalin rush every once in a while. I get that every time I'm looking at that:
    A:\format C: Are you sure (Y or N)_
    :D :D :D

Thanks Root for the swift reply,
I think I'll leave well alone, I don't have anything as sophisticated as a burner, I'm just small potatoes really.

But to be quite honest, for the most part, I haven't the faintest idea what your talking about. Not your fault, I think your all absolute stars but I'm an Old Newbie and a lot of the Tech speak just leaves me for dead at the roadside! But I'm listening and learning. PCLite sounded like it was right up my Cul-de-Sac, being of simple mind, so many thanks for your interest, but will stay in the fog 'til I know more.
    Best regards, Cochise o_O

You could go ahead and use Lite, but there is always a chance something can go wrong. That's why I always suggest backing up.
If I can be of any assistance, let me know. I understand if you feel better leaving well enough alone.
