I just tried q360ts with 5 engines and the ram was very high so I uninstalled it, is it high on your machine?

Make sure you disabled "Use BitDefender Scan Engine" in the Protection tab. It only uses 40 MB on my PC's memory.

    Thank you.
It's just curiosity - what else the PC can endure. I guess even a quarter of the setup is enough.

He-he maybe I'll try SBIE again soon. Though I see no much need in it if you have Comodo.

I've added Avira PC-Cleaner to my on-demand security arsenal. So now I use this on-demand tools: HitmanPro, Malwarebytes Anti-malware, Emsisoft Emergency Kit and Avira PC-Cleaner. I've made no changes to my real-time setup.

Aaaaand I thought that 2 engines AV was already a heavy-weight class. What is happening with AV industries these days?

Probably right Solarlynx but I use Comodo for it`s HIPS,autosandboxing and virtual keyboard.

Sandboxie I set to autodelete on browser closing which I just find easier than Comodos version.

    Regards...Eck

Yes it's nice. It scans quickly using Avira's database. Program is installed in temp folder by default. Removing temp files will remove scanner with 100+ MB database update and next time you'll have to download whole database again. If you will use it permanently I suggest to use option Copy to USB device and then copy it from USB to some other (non-temp) folder on your PC.

Good Morning! jmonge... I recently used the New Look SAS...I'd like to see them improve there Heuristics...and Give MBAM a run for their money. I have an existing lifetime license and would like to see them become successful once again. Enjoy! Sincerely...Securon

Guys I need your help, I need a FREE AV that is quiet and minimal to no pop-ups asking for user interactions. I've recently switched from using AVAST to now Q360 for other friends, but this one is for a less computer literate person. What other options can you come up with, thanks!

    Win7x64-SP1

    UAC-Full
    Standard User Account

    Comodo Internet Security 7:
    Defense+ for the HIPS
    Firewall on
    AV (Disabled and turned off)

    WSA AntiVirus (2014)
(Using this in place of Comodo AV)
(Firewall turned on - no conflict with Comodo Firewall)

The WSA firewall covers the outbound traffic. The Comodo Firewall covers the inbound traffic.

    MBAM (Premium):
    Malicious Website Protection (Real Time)
    Malware Protection (Real Time)

    Zemana AntiLogger (paid)

    Emsisoft Emergency Kit (on demand)

Emsisoft Anti-Malware 9 (paid) (All modules off - on demand)

    Sandboxie (paid)

EMET 2.1 (soon to be upgraded)

SAS Pro V6 (on demand/browser hijack protection)

    Hitman Pro Alert

Hitman Pro (paid, well just run out, but will sub again soon - essential)

    OpenDNS (trialling)

    Winpatrol PLUS

    AutoRuns

    HostsMan (MVPS Hosts file)

    Backup:
Easus ToDo v3.5 (the best version before it became payware - tested and working with linux boot cd)
Demoing TeraByte Image for Windows and Image for Linux, but will buy soon when demo expires

VirtualBox VMs running WinXP and Debian

    Browser:
    FireFox-26

    Browser Extensions:
    Adblock Plus
    Ghostery
    NoScript
    WOT

    Edit:
It may even be possible to run the Comodo AV alongside the WSA-AV, but it seems a bit like over kill. But PrevX worked fine with the Comodo AV before, no problems at all. I think I'll just stick with the WSA, and maybe use the CAV now and again on demand. For a long time I ran with no AV at all. I got a good price on WSA and have it as much for its other features, i.e. Anti-phishing and keylogging. I liked PrevX a lot though, but WSA looks superb for the money.

I added AppGuard 10-day trial to my overloaded setup. PC with AG runs smooth.
