    Find out which folder it runs from and exclude the folder using "Custom Folders" option.

    Latest version working fine with no complaints or issues. Windows 7 HP 64bit.

    Those VS internet connection not found errors have not resurfaced using this version.

    When posting VS memory usage what is the correct procedure please? Just so that we are all using the same figures.

    I see these:

    VS Process Hacker.jpg

    VS RAMmap.jpg

    VS RAMmap 2.jpg

    THX,
    for that hint.
    But I decided to move the folder to a more trusted directory, than the former c:\users\public
    That also worked.
    I will do more evaluation on VS, but it has way to many option, to install it on friends, or customers machines.
    My impression is, that they will not understand how VS works, and what decision is right, if a pop-up appears.
    Honestly, I'm not going to babysit...

    I was just playing a CD on my PC (through my surround sound system which sounds pretty good if I say so myself) with VS in Smart Mode. VS toggled to ON (USB) as expected but after ejecting the CD VS didn't toggle back to OFF. No other web was running.

    Thanks.

    Happens to me too. ASUS e-Green on a SATA plug. VS sees it as a USB :confused: (Note to Self: get screen-shots.)

    I have noticed with VS 3.53 that when closing a browser Ccleaner kicks in to do it's thing so I know it's closed
    but VS will remain active too sometimes, I wonder if there is a commonality here @Krusty ? with this
    new version.

    I'd suggest it is normal for VS to toggle on when certain devices are connected, but VS should toggle off when those devices are disconnected.
    Not sure. I have the free version of CCleaner and have no interest in allowing it to do 'whatever' automatically.

    lol, nothing on my system is allowed to do "whatever" I employ Ccleaner to clean up after my browser, and thats all it is allowed to clean ;) I mentioned it because it won't run unless the browser is closed, so i knew FF was closed yet in safe mode VS's icon
    continued to indicate is was still on.
    The point was even though these are separate situations, the common denominator here is maybe the toggling has an issue
    in the 3.53 edition

    How do you set up ccleaner to auto run after browser is closed?

    See SS below. Leave the top box unchecked, or at least I do because I only want Ccleaner cleaning my
    browsers and not my system.

    Also check VoodooShield Settings> Web Apps to see if any items are highlighted in yellow. It would seem to indicate that your browser is still running if highlighted.

    Then check Task manager to see if this is the case.

    Also in Chrome settings untick “Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed”

    This feature is available for paid versions of CCleaner: "Real-time Monitoring". Screenshot: #14669.
    CCleaner is always running in the background and is monitoring the browser/system.
    "CommandLine: "C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCleaner64.exe" /monitor"
    And as soon as the browser is closed, CCleaner is cleaning.

    when VS takes the first snapshot, does it check only installed programs or also portable ones?
    and only in the OS partition or also on other partitions?
    thanks

    The first snapshot is adding all currently running processes to your whitelist.
    If your portable version is currently running while VS is doing the snapshot, it should add it too.
    If not, the advanced snapshot should add it.
    The "advanced snapshot" is whitelisting recently accessed programs (and recently accessed programs on other partitions) and programs currently installed in "Program Files".

    Where do I find the 'advanced snapshot' option?

    You have to do a normal snapshot first. After it has been done, VS is showing a window where you can decide to do an Advanced Snapshot:

    Salutations/Greetings!!!:geek:

    I do believe that I ask this question awhile back for VoodooShield. But it several
    months in the new years of 2017. So, I will ask the question again for 2017.
    To see if anything has changed. All below is working great with VoodooShield!!!

    What security software do you suggest that you would use with VS?

    My current setup is on my PC's.

    * AppCheck Anti-Ransomware
    * SecureAPlus
    * VoodooShield
    * Windows Defender

    I scan once a week with Emsisoft Emergency Scanner. I could replace WD with
    Bitdefender Free, and Immunet with it! But I would have to remove SecureAPlus.

    Thank you for the tip :) , but that's the first place I look. I am nowhere near new to VS.
    If it was an App hanging open I would not waste Dan's time by posting here.
