    Greetings,
HI guys, i have created a test.xml file for my domain. I have placed this file in D:\Program Files\ESET (mirror folder). In this xml file, i have set password protection for setting, this is to prevent user from meddling with the setting in NOD32 at their end. This xml file was used to create a package during installation.

However, users are still able to go to setup at their PC. Is there a problem this setting?

I have set contact Remote administration server to every 5minutes. But still the password setting protect not being push to client side.

I have no problem getting the password set in the RAS/RAC side.

Any advice is very appreciated. Thanks

    Hello,
if you want to push a configuration to clients, you'll need to do it by means of ERA. Placing an xml file into the mirror folder won't work.

    Thanks for yr quick reply.

In this case, why there is a setting on contact remote administrator server every 5minutes? I thought the purpose is to check whether any changes in the xml file and update accordingly.

Unless that setting is meant for updating of virus def file only?

So if there is any changes in xml file that i have done, i will have to make use of RAC to push to all my users?

Is there a counter/flag setting that i can set so that whenever there is a new setting in xml file, the clients will knw abt it and update accordingly? I know we can do so in NOD ver 2.0.

    Thanks

If you mean the setting for connecting to ERAS on clients, this is the time interval for sending logs/warnings to the ERA server, nothing else. The time interval for checking for newer updates is configured in the appropriate update task in Scheduler.

    Right.

This is not possible. The only way to make changes to clients' configuration is by scheduling a configuration task using ERA.
