Hi recently my NOD32 (2.50.25) sometimes connect to the update server, and downloads an old virus definition file - older than the current one. Then windows pops up with a warning that my antivirus is old and needs updating.

Have a look at the logfile:

Why is this? and what can I do?

Please download a FRESH copy of Nod32 from www.nod32.com

    Uninstall your current version.

    REBOOT your Computer.

Remove the Eset Folder from C Drive> Program Files.

Install the FRESH copy of Nod32 that you downloaded above using “Typical Settings”.

Let us know how you go…

    Cheers :D

    Hi thanks for your help.
I just wanted to test if everything was OK, before uninstalling and did a manual update. And now it updated OK

But I'm sure that it will be a problem again - because it has been like this for a month or so. Sometimes it updates OK, other times it will do like I just described.

I thought that maybe it was because I just bought a new computer AMD 64 X2 4200, do you think that having these two CPU's could be involved?

Looks like it's a registry problem. Do you use a registry cleaner by any chance?

Hi Steen and welcome to Wilders. ;)

Most likely it is not the AMD 64 x2 4200. I am using an AMD 64 x2 4400+ without any issues. Was there another AV installed before NOD32?

OK, in the server location it is set to "choose automatically"

In the scroll down list I can se the following servers:
    u2.eset.com
    u3.eset.com
    u4.eset.com
    82.165.250.33
    82.165.237.14

    Is this OK?
