To remove Acronis True Image from your PC, select Start ? Settings ? Control
Panel ? Add or Remove Programs ? Acronis True Image ? Remove. You
will see a dialog to confirm the program removal. Click Yes to confirm and Acronis
True Image will be completely removed. You may have to reboot your computer
    afterwards to complete the task.
this is the instructions in the pdf file.
is there any registry entries to remove and if so what are they.
the manual says a virtual driver will be established in device manager
will that be removed as well
thanks in advance for your help.[MOVE][/MOVE]

If you are comfortable with editing the registry search for and remove any entries with the words Acronis or True Image.

Save a backup of the Registry first though, as one wrong move in editing and your system may not boot.

    Hello north450,

Just to add to what Chutsman has said, if you created an Acronis Secure Zone, make sure you remove it via the Manage Acronis Secure Zone Wizard before unistalling TI. Also this <previous Acronis Support reply> should help you to clean up any residue that's left after an automatic uninstall.

    Regards

Yes indeed. It was supplied by Acronis Support prior to TI 9's release, so I guess it's more a question of whether the procedure also applies to True Image 9. I can only assume it does because Acronis Support have been referring TI 9 users to it :).

    Regards

    Thanks again Menorcaman
installed version 8 the latest one
    installation went smooth
noticed 2 things in running processes
    TrueImageMonitor and schedhlp
also when the program was started the main window opened.
when that happened the system resources which is usaually 86 per cent
dropped to 65 per cent and the computer frooze once.
when the program was exited it went back to 86 per cent.
then went to msconfig and disenabled the 2 tasks.
    same results .
now if my burner would be used to burn an image or if another hard drive would be attached to clone it would probably crash my compter .
    do you have any suggestions.
Thanks and Happy New Years to all.
