I'm checking out how well the client NOD32 is protected from the user messing around with it. I have all the passwords set up that I could find and attempting to get into the settings always asked for a password. However, I was able to uninstall NOD32 at the client without any problems...no password, nothing. Am I missing a password somewhere or is this going to be a problem? (Yes, I have users who will tinker with their machines and decide to uninstall something just because they can...and no, I can't fire them.)

Currently it is possible to uninstall ESET v3 solutions even if settings are password protected. This feature should be functioning in the next major update.

Is there an ETA for this update? Just a feel for any day now or next month or next year or whenever would be fine...this is close to being a non-starter issue for me.

Also, is there any intention of similarly protecting in some manner the killing of the nod32 service?

    Thanks.
