Question about TI build 8101 "bootable media startup parameters"

Please shed some light on "bootable media startup parameters". I noticed this after downloading TI build 8101, and when I creating a new boot CD.

I'm sorry about that I cannot find any hints on the Acronis English website about the parameters.
But on the German homepage there is a description.

I copy it to here with English translation:

acpi=off - switch off Advanced Configuration and Power Interface
noapic - switch off Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller
noapm - switch off Advanced Power Management
quiet - suppressed Boot-Messages


This parameters to deactivate hardware at startup:

nousb — switch off USB
nousb2 — Fallback tof USB1.1
nofw — deactivate Firewire
nopcmcia — deactivate PCMCIA
noraid — deactivate RAID-support
nodma — deactivate DMA-Modus of HDDs
usbmouse=off - if USB mouse cursor moves only vertically

 

If you download the User's Guide from the Acronis website, (you may have to register to get to the download page), the startup parameters are contained in Appendix D

 

Hmmmm, I thought the start-up paramaters were for mouse drivers, cdrom drivers etc, so as to make the flash drive bootable into TI 11.

Was I incorrect in thinking this way?

Read the User guide. That's the best source of info on the subject. Sometimes, if you don't understand a software product, it's a good idea to rtfm.
