    Hello,

I need to temporarily disable Outpost Security Suite Pro, in order to succeed in installing Windows 7 SP1. I would appreciate your suggestion.

The last time I used it I believe there was an "Exit" option on the right click of the tray menu. By the time it reboots and starts again it will not matter that it is running.

Right click the tray icon and select Suspend Protection. A choice of how much time to suspend will then be presented. However, when installing a service pack it would be best to have no other running software in order to avoid possible conflicts. Disconnect from the internet, turn off every piece of software that you can and then run the service pack.
