Tonight, I attempted to uninstall SUPERAntispyware. After some strange behavior, which acted more like malware than anti-malware, I got the dreaded "blue screen". After restarting my computer, I noticed that the SUPERAntipsyware icon was removed from the desktop, but not from Windows (or CCleaner's) "Add-Remove Programs". I attempted to run the unistaller for SUPERAntispyware from both, but got an "Error" message.

I then went to Start > WINDOWS > C: Program Files > SUPERAntispyware.....and noticed that the folder was still there, with several subfolders. I then right clicked on the SAS folder and selected "Secure Erase". It erased all of the subfolders EXCEPT these three:

    SASCTXMN.DLL
    SASSEH.DLL
    SASWINLO.DLL

These three subfolders still exist inside the SUPERAntiSpyware folder.....with seemingly no way to remove all of them. Is there someone who can walk me through how to remove the remainder of SUPERAntispywareo_O o_O

Thanks for the File Assasin suggestion. I downloaded and used it tonight, and it worked like a charm :thumb:

    Thanks again :D

P.S. - I don't think SUPERAntispyware is going back on any of my computers...maybe ever again. I've simply had too many problems/issues with it, this being just the latest. I'm now looking for a replacement (Emsisoft Anti-Malware, and Lavasoft Ad-Aware look to be the front runners) to go along with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for my on-demand scanners....any suggestions?

If you simply used our uninstaller there would have been no issues. What problem did you have with SUPERAntiSpyware?

Hitman Pro comes highly recommended, to complement your MBAM. :thumb:

I know you didn't ask, but your setup is good without adding a replacement if your signature is up to date.
