Spy Sheriff

I had downloaded spy sheriff from download.com. And it gave me an trojan. Well spy sheriff said that there are trojans on my computer and I need to upgrade spy sheriff to get rid of them. This was after I had reboot my computer and I know that there where not any viruses on my computer. Does any one have any solutions to get rid of spy sheriff? And how do you find out the type of trojan it is?

 

I would go in to safe mode and delete it. Then I would download Ewido free and run a scan. http://www.ewido.net/en/

 

This software came to my virtual pc with a trojan.. I mean I downloaded a trojan and spysheriff was with her. It acts like a windows internal. And there are a lot of softwares like this. Here is an article about an AV I wrote. I downloaded a trojan for this AV and look what happened? The page is Turkish but you can understand from the pictures.

I downloaded Ewido and my Etrust says that the download has a trojan. I used the link in the FAQ here about cleaning up your PC.

Is that possible? I'm not very happy if that happened... I followed the instructions to clean up the computer, not create more of a mess of it!

Ewido is a good software. If you downloaded it from www.ewido.com there is absolutely no problem..

 

Run spybot version 4.1 in the safe mode.

 

oki where i find not hacked spybot4.1 with cd-key to use it more like 30 days with full options and plis tell mi spysheriff i shiti program?? i dont no to download this but i have cdkay for no limit time with all update possibles but i just ask whos program is better

Hi! I don,t know what u mean. It is a malware itself and not present on download.com at all.

May I know which site are you referring to exactly?

Or you got it from a spoofed site? Pretending to be www.download.com

All right, maybe I should be a bit more clear about what I want to say.
Spysheriff is a rogue anti-spyware application meaning its a false program that is supposedly "anti-spyware" when in fact it is not.
