I was just wondering whether there should be a "sticky" or perhaps a temporary single subforum somewhere about this bastardry by Sony.

There also appears to be some evolving evidence about MediaMax software.

The situation has been moving so fast since the ?first posts on Castle Cops in August first identified this malware and now the thread in DSlr started by Kevin McA it has been hard to keep up!!

Even using the Sony supplied "uninstaller" appears to be a horrible risk which opens other vulnerabilities: http://www.freedom-to-tinker.com/

It might be helpful to have a centralised site/link for all the posts which are now spread all over the forum.

So many risks: I have just realised that secretaries at work play background music during the day. Sh*t. Now have to check there.

Might I also suggest a similar arrangement for postings about Rootkit/Keylogger scanners which might be an easier way to keep track. This will obviously be an expanding area of interest and there appears to have been a recent rapid increase in the available tools which will benefit from further review.

Don't mean to be presumptuous, just wondering.

    Regards.
