Thanks, I've been waiting to install the new free version. Will give the premium a go for a short while.

    Cheers,

Edit: Here is a comparison chart of the free personal and Premium editions. http://www.returnilvirtualsystem.com/index_files/comparison.htm

Also, please note the following restrictions which isn't uncommon for a giveawayoftheday download.

I checked the manual and it says only system partition. Just a reconfirmation, it doesn't have the ability to protect other partitions right?

I am tempted but don't know whether I really "need" this program.
I am using the original FirstDefense_ISR, so usually when trying out new software I would update my snapshot or archive beforehand. I am using sandboxie for browsing, so where would Returnil fit in to provide additional benefits?

It just virtualizes the system partition. I think there are plans for some sort of protection for other partitions in future versions.

So I have a question about this. I indeed installed it, probably just use it to test software since I'm quite content with Sandboxie. If I download RegCleanerxyz in Returnil virtual mode and like it, do I move the installed program to C Drive or the install.exe file and then install again? Thank You?
In retrospect, stupid question! If I like xyz I could just re-download and install anyway.

After testing the Programms, I move the .exe to a SD-Card, turn Returnil off and move the .exe back to my Download Folder. You don't need it to download twice.

Is there any conflict between FDISR-Rescue and Returnil on the same machine?

Given Returnil's policy that shuts itself down after a year if you don't reinstall it with the latest upgrade, this give away is a smart move. If you're running the free version, you will reinstall with the free version. But if you're running the Premium version, which you downloaded free today, you will have to pay to reinstall it one year from today. No? ;)

Yes, but with one year time I should have a good idea if Returnil have become my core program or I should change to other better program.

For me, having the premium version is a very good opportunity to try at the fullest. If it does not work than forget it. If it works really good, I don't mind to pay after having a year of free ride...

... and most likely I will change my notebook at that time...

    Regards,
    DGho

If you install (non reboot only)and like the software in virtual mode, all you can do is manually cut and paste the exefile/zip,drop into the virtual drive,at that time.
Then after reboot the exefile will be there awaiting a real install.
For data ,save in File Manager.

PS ;runs OK with FDISR for me-very nice!! Thanks,Returnil-a good marketing move also.

RETURNIL RVS is cream-of-the-crop material. Ridiculously simple to use and works as advertised, the improvements have made it even more secure.

Very LITE plus for me anyway it mounts the virtual partition faster then i can open my usual ones. Good thought out app and excellent programming is gone into this beauty.

Does the free version have to be un-installed before installing the Premium Edition? I have the free version install on the E:\ partition.

EDIT: I loaded it down to my C:\ system ( no free version of Returnil on here) but they say..."software activation not possible at the moment". Must have jammed servers or I missed the time somehow.

EDIT: download site said that over an hour was still left.

I uninstalled the free version before doing the premium installation, just to be careful. All went well. Could be you missed the Free today by minutes, or you left out a step.
