Hey all, so I just started adding videos and started using my Youtube account, and today I in the inbox, I got random message from someone with the username of "Lip***" * indicated numbers, I don't remember his exact username.

Anywas, I opened up the message, and it said to go to subyoutubedotcom to get more subscribers. It wasn't a link, but he did type that webstie out in the message.

Is this just some spammer looking to get attention?

That would be my guess. You could always google -subyoutube.com and see what pops up. I did. A legitimate business will have lots of results. I could hardly find any for that url. --> dubious!

A message from a stranger & a strange link are perfect ways to deliver malware. It could just be a very zealous salesman, but why chance it?

edit:doh! Hungry Man beat me to it by seconds!

I'm guessing that by not making it a working link and just typing out the "dot", the author was probably trying to defeat spam filters. I don't know much about spam filters (something i'm interested in learning about)- so that's just a guess.
