Questions about GhostWall

Hello,

I have install GhostWall and really like it. It is nice to have a firewall that is only a firewall and not pack with other stuff. However, I was wondering if GhostWall is a statefull packet inspection style of firewall? I have not seen any information if it is or is not.

Also, is there any way to disable a rule with out have to delete it? The reason I ask is that at times, I create rules to allow certain ports in when I am playing games with friends. It would be nice to be able to just enable and disable the rules instead of have to delete and recreate them each time (I am dyslexic in real world so this is error prone to me from time to time)?

Finally, would it be possible to add the ability to be “bind" the rule(s) to a certain NIC - i.e. if you have more then 1 network card in the systems.

All in all, I really like this firewall and yes I have purchase AppDefender and RegDefender too. I really like the security programs Jason is creating. As I mention early, since I am dyslexic, these programs really helps me when I have the "oppss I did not mean to do that moments".

Here's a tip that might help with this one question. The final block rule is where the firewall rules stop getting processed since it basically addresses every remaining condition: "Block All Protocols - Any - Any - Any - Any" - that handles any packet that didn't meet the conditions stated in the rules above it. So, if you want to disable a rule rather then deleting it, just click on that rule and use the down arrow (between the 'Delete Rule' and 'Modify Rule' lines at the lower left) and move that allow rule below the final block rule.

When you want to enable it again, click on that allow rule and up-arrow it to just above the final block rule. Maybe one day Jason will add a check box or something to enable and disable rules, but until then moving them above and below the final block rule will enable and disable them.
