I just renewed my NOD32 V2 AV and was sent a new Password and Username yesterday for a 2yr licence. Now when I insert both the PW and UN it works ok and does all the updates etc, but when I switch off my laptop in Hybernate Mode and turn it back on again, and go back to NOD32 and re do the update it reverts back to my old UN and PW which has expired.

    Any ideas or suggestions.

Did you reenter your UN/PW in the Update setup , not in a pop-up Windows asking for them

I have a very similar query to the OP.

I don't want to hijack, but if you take the OP's scenario and add that the PC has a password to protect the NOD32 settings, would this explain why a user is reporting that the new/renewed username/password details aren't being saved by NOD32?

Apparently it pops up when it updates (or they are manually updating it) and its showing the old username and password. Then at this password prompt, they enter the new subscription details, it accepts, then downloads the updates. However, later after they have shut down completely for the day, then the next day the new username/password is forgotten.

I'm guessing this is because they didn't follow my instructions to go into the setup options (password protected) and change the old username/password there. Would this be a fair guess/known issue?

Yes . With NOD32 v2 one must enter the UN/PW in the Update Setup if they want them saved.

Thank you. I have migrated all my machines to v3 (ESS) and so didn't have an easy way to test that out. :thumb:

Thanks alot for your help here everyone, but stupid me I did not add my US and PW in the setup but in the box that kept popping up everytime when I tried to do the update or everytime when it tried to update itself.
