Hello - I am using Acronis Disk Director 10 to merge two partitions, one 20GB and one 95GB, on a 120GB hdd. The 20GB partition was a system partition (Win XP Pro), and I was merging the data partition into it.

I began the process and the progress indicator showed consistent progress nicely up until 40% (this took about 20 minutes). It has stayed at 40%, with no obvious hdd activity, for over 90 minutes.

I have been burned before by bailing out of processes early, thinking they were hung because of progress indicator problems, so I don't want to bail out too early, but I am concerned. Any advice?

    Hello ghenry,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Disk Management Software.

Could you please tell us what is your current systems state? Please download Acronis Report utility available at http://www.acronis.com/files/support/AcronisReport.exe and run it, create a report and send it to us. This would provide us with detailed information on the hard disk partition structure.

Please collect the information requested above and contact us from our web-site: http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/my/support/ . Please don't forget to send the link to this thread along with gathered information. This would allow us to investigate the problem and help you with the solution.

    Thank you.

Thank you for the response. I turned off the machine and was able to boot to the system partition. I downloaded the report tool and sent the results to you via customer support e-mail. I'll wait to hear your advice as to what to do next.

    Thank you very much!
