I am struggling to understand what kind of behaviour monitoring Prevx has compared with Comodo Defense+ module. I have CIS installed but D+ is currently disabled, but execution control is switched on and therefore it lookups certain exe files, which I guess is similar to what Prevx does. I know that D+ analyses and restricts a whole bunch of events according to pre-defined or user-set criteria.

What are the pros and cons of Prevx versus the D+? Does anyone have any insight or comparisons please?

    Prevx is heuristics
    Defense+ is HIPS

OK, in that case I will also enable D+ despite performance hit. Thanks.

Interesting link to Westcoast labs. But it is curious to see that Prevx is not covered by "Real Time URL Filtering" which is strange, since that is safeonline functionality?

Also disapointing to see Comodo certified only for AV whereas most people recognise its strength as a Firewall and HIPS!

It looks like they have just added Realtime URL filtering as it currently says: "No vendors are currently available in this technology group." :)

I ran a VM with Prevx and Comodo FW++ for several months and they worked perfectly together.

Since one of my earlier posts I have been using Prevx with Comodo FW, D+ and with AV enabled, but not sandbox. AV is enabled so cover offline use, but to be honest is not really needed.

Overall, working very well together, but the well known problem of Prevx safeonline preventing some copy and pasting operations is a pain. Looking forward to this being fixed.

Still not impressed with official Prevx support on their main site. Response times are at the best, similar to Kaspersky (i.e. atrocious), at the worst, non-existing with tickets not even acknowledged. Is this "thanks" to Webroot taking over? If so, then it is not looking good for the future...but I hope to be proved wrong.

Have a machine with CIS ver5 (D+, FW --AV not installed /Sandbox disabled) and PrevxSOL. I pair it with Avira Personal ver10(don't like CIS's AV). They work well together. :)

If you could please send me your email address via PM, I will be able to determine why your message has been neglected. Also, if you could send me a scan log b y clicking Tools - Save Scan Log and sending it to report@prevxresearch.com, we will be able to correct copy/paste support.

Probably thanks to Webroot takeover Prevx was able to significantly expand it's support team, and then instead of only the experienced employees of the Prevx team there will also be new people who still have to gather experience and become completely known with all kinds of aspects of Prevx. If anyone has any problems with how you were or are helped by support, you can contact PrevxHelp here and he will rectify the contact with support and help you with your problems :)

Yes if they were 15 persons in the whole Prevx Team before, should they be at least the double now I think.
