G DATA - "minimal impact it has on PC"? G DATA might not have the system impact it once has, but compared to most other single-engine suites, it sure isn't light now either.

The article says that WSA "Struggles at infection cleanup" but PrevxHelp said that has been corrected since the test!

This does come as a surprise...the "minimal impact" part...it has always performed well except for that. Hmm.....:doubt:

Good Evening ! Just purchased a new license for G-Data 2012 and there was a new updated version 22.1.0.0. The new Version reacts considerably lighter than the previous version...and 2013 will probably be available in April, after the Cebit show in Hanover in early March. Happy with the new version. Sincerely...Securon

but yet they say "On the other hand, it slowed our test PC considerably when we loaded Web pages, installed software, or copied files over the network." just because it didnt add time to start up or shutdown does not make it light. and it added 1.5 seconds to download time BUT what did they download and from where and with what kind of connection etc..to me those things do not make a suite light

lol, seriously? o_O ive been using gdata IS for a 1 and half and it was the slowest among all ive used, bitdefender IS so far is outdoing gdata performance wise.
as for detection gdata barely blocks any malicious websites but BF is doing fantastic and from all the tests ive seen from gdata and what i experienced, its the best at having best set of sig database's but when comes to new ones...sigh
