Should be as it uses the KAV engine ;)

Clear GUI but fewer configuration options than KAV. Particularly suited for newbies.

which kav engine 2006? or 5.0 one?

and as it has the kav engine and itself one will it give better protection than kavs antivirus?

i don't think so but does it?

coz the antispyware (spyware doctor has a reputation that its good)?

    Uses the KAV 5 engine.

Nearly all the KAV clones give engine and definition updates but not version updates. Therefore, when the KAV 2006 engine goes gold, this may not be available to the PC Tools AV. This needs to be confirmed as this is a fairly new product release.

At the present time, it's detection level should be on par with KAV 5's.

KAV clones, including this one, are generally cheaper than KAV itself. But apart from this I see no great reason to choose the clone version over the original unless PC Tools can offer better support and better compatibility with your software/hardware.

PC Tools will probably release a new version of its product in the future using the KAV 2006 engine...:doubt:
