Overwritting Full backups?

I do a full backup 1/month and incrementals each day.
I have 4 PCs that do this (2 kids and wife)
When a full backup is started and stopped before completetion (as often happens with the kids PCs) the full backup is then removed from the backup disk.
I then only have the incrementals and no full backup. A precarious mode to operate it.

Is there a way to have Acronis increment the FUll backup file name as they do for the incrementals to prevent this from happening?

Your best bet would be to have two separate schedules. e.g. Schedule #1 starts in week 1 and begins with a full backup called something like week1.tib and then 2 weeks of incrementals. Schedule #2 starts in week two and begins with a full backup (week2.tib) and two weeks of incrementals.

If something like you fear occurs during a new week1 backup, you will still have the full week2 set to fall back upon.

Depending on the amount of space you have available, just change the time between schedules and their length to suit your situation.

I used to use Ghost 9 (am boy am I happy I moved to Acronis). But it did have the nice feature to increment the file name on the full backups too. then the only issue was to manually delete them if the baclup disk got too full.
