Outpost Security Suite Pro 7.5 real time didnt caught eicar

it only detects it when you scan it on demand, its on the default setting and no other security software running, what is the cause of this, the tech support cant figure it out too, i found the same complain on their facebook page

 

I think The default setting is "check files on execution." This mode is described as(my emphasis)

Set the real time scanner to "Check files on any access."
Settings->Real Time Protection->Customize->Advanced tab

 

It didnt work, same its not detected by the real time

 

What access did you use? Did you try to rename it or copy it? I tried this and the file was reported as soon as the download program tried to rename it as completed.

I pasted the test string into notepad and saved the file and it was caught that way as well.

Well,installed today OSS Free and saved the eicar test in to a text file and voila.Seems to work for me.The only change i've made was to set in Real time protection settings,Infected objects-Prompt.
