NSS will fit the bill for those looking for a good quality on demand only AV. It won't interfere with other AV/AM. I have AntiVir Premium as well as SAS Pro and Mamutu installed, and they all get along just fine. It will not load persistent processes, and you can update virus defs at will. You do need to install the Google Pack (http://pack.google.com/intl/en/pack_installer.html?hl=en&gl=us) to download it. However, GP itself can be uninstalled leaving NSS to do its thing. NSS does have its own uninistaller if you find that you don't like it. Just a friendly heads up! :D

    Hi

Last time I checked Norton Security Scan from Google Pack only removed viruses, not spyware.

But if you already have AntiVir premium, I don't think Norton will find anythingo_O? o_O

Thx for the notice :thumb: Just tested it. Found a virus on my external drive, that ZASS didnt find. Nice alternative to the brilliant Dr. Web Cure It

'Someone' and 'emperordarius', NSS is a good second opinion. It will indeed find spyware and trojans on its own. While I trust AntiVir, I don't trust any AV/AM implicitly. Again, this program may fit the bill of those looking for a reasonably good quality on demand only scanner.
